So, how did My Pet Care come about?
Mieke started out by looking after neighbours’ pets for a few Rand or a bar of chocolate. That was where the idea originated. The Villages was a safe environment for an 8-year-old to do pet sitting in houses where the owners are not at home. Mieke used to jump on a bicycle and do the pet sitting for years after.
Mieke has learnt so much about both client service and pet care: How to organise, prioritise and manage the pet sitting service as a reliable business that cares. Over the years, pet owners have come to rely on Mieke’s diligence, excellent care and continuous valued feedback while they are away.
Mieke is now a young adult and has established My Pet Care as a trusted Pet Sitter and House Checker, providing job opportunities for those who are willing to work hard and thoroughly under supervision. It takes effort to be a reliable and efficient Pet Sitter.
